The Rocky Top Community Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization established to relieve poor and distressed citizens of the City of Rocky Top and adjacent unincorporated communities, and to combat community deterioration and juvenile delinquency.

The Foundation was created in 2019 by the Rocky Top Chamber of Commerce. While the Chamber is organized to advocate for business, it recognized that the community needed improvements to create an environment conducive to successful businesses.

Since 2019, the Board of Directors of the Rocky Top Chamber of Commerce has felt that the Foundation provides a more powerful framework for supporting and growing Rocky Top than the Chamber model alone. Therefore, in 2025, the decision was made to carry out all activities under the Rocky Top Community Foundation going forward.

The Foundation is currently developing plans to strategically address community issues such as homelessness, drug abuse, and deterioration. The Board is reviewing initiatives in other communities to help formulate effective strategies for Rocky Top. The Foundation is also seeking funding through grants and private donations to implement these plans.
